Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday dear Woodford school, Happy birthday to you!!

Today marked the 150th birthday of our school. We enjoyed many activities celebrating this momentous occasion.

We learnt from Mrs Lifford and Mrs Conlon about the history of our school dating back from its construction on an alternate site next to the church to the punishment book - including the names of some of our relatives ... some very sad choices were made in the 1950s!!!

We came back to the classroom and shared one or two books on the theme of birthdays before setting off to work ...

We wrote a range of birthday cards and wishes.

We cut out and constructed a paper party hat.

We wrote our own memories and thoughts about the school.

We made our own birthday cakes using different sized paper.

We threaded balloons

We ordered numbers

We used the cards to make new two and three digit numbers.

But most of all we were really proud to be part of the 150th birthday celebrations.
